2010...

2010 has been a wonderful year for our family! It started off by Matthew and I taking a much needed vacation to the Bahamas in January. Matthew and I had never taken a real vacation like that so we were thrilled to go and get away for a bit! While there we celebrated out 3rd wedding anniversary and upon out return we celebrated Colton's first birthday! In February we found out we were pregnant just 10 weeks after having lost our baby in December. We were beyond thrilled. We then celebrated Matthews 27th birthday. In Mat we found out we were having a baby girl!!!! That was a lot of fun and very surprising because I for sure thought I was going to have all boys! Th summer was filled with fun exciting things like vbs at church, a girls trip to the beach with my mom and sisters (hopefully we can do this every year!!!), we went to a fun blugrass festival and the boys loved it, and the begining of september we went to gatliburg with matthews family for a fun mountain trip! Then in October we first celebrated Jr's 3rd birthday and 4 days later on the 18th we welcomed our sweet baby girl Tinsley into the family! In november we took a trip with my family to a waterpark in tn and it was awesome and i would love to go back in the summer time when all of the park is open! Finally to end the year we celebrated my 25th birthday and then Christmas with Matthews family which was so fun and relaxing! But, on these last few days of 2010 we are battling the flu with Jr and praying no one else gets it. Hes a trooper and we pray he gets better quick!! So 2010 has been full of fun and blessings and we are so very excited to see what God has in store for our family in 2011!

I have to share a quick story with yall. The night before last after I got all the kids to bed I stayed up wrapping presents. I left them in Tinsley's room and shut the door. Yesterday morning I hear her door open and Jr comes running into my room with the biggest smile on his face and his eyes huge and says to me "momma, are all those presents for God?!?!" He was so excited to be able to give God all the presents on His birthday! My heart just melted as I prayed right then and there that Jr would forever have the desire to give all he has to God and grow deeper and deeper in love with Him everyday of his life! This is my prayer for all my kids but to have seen it in his little 3yr old face was so amazing. Merry Christmas!

Thank you God for sending your son. How amazing is your love for us that you would send him to be sacrificed for all of our sins that if we believe that then we are forgiven and can live forever with You! Amen!

Funny things...at least to me!

Colton copies EVERY word and thing Jr does. Here are just a few things they say that are so cute to me and I wnat to remember forever!

" toke" coke...colton really likes to emphisize the k in works like coke, milk...

" i pay wif my nippols" yes, my boys think its halarious to play with their nipples when they are naked. and colton does it when hes falling asleep. wierd i know!
"oh yeah baby" coltons favorite saying when he like something!!!
i know there is more but i cant remember at the moment so when i hear them i will write them down. i cant remember much these days. lack of sleep i guess! but look at that sweet girls face, its all worth it!

Being Thankful...

Today I was reminded to "be thankful". We all have so much to be thanful for. For instance, the computer you have to read this blog with. Far to often we think about what we dont have instead of opening our eyes and seeing what we do have and being thankful for it. We are so very rich compared to many others around the world. We have food, clothes and shelter. Though you may not be able to have the nicest of things and shop at expensive stores you arent living in a hut and only getting fed 1 small meal a day. I am just as guilty as the next person in this way of thinking but my prayer is that we all would open our eyes and be thankful for what we do have instead of what we dont have.

Tinsley Mae's Baby Announcment...

Here is little ones baby announcment! I LOVE it. I have them all addressed and ready to mail out but I have yet to stop and get stamps! ha! Better late then never right? I went with the fall theme bc of thier cute shirts, (which I got here http://www.rowanandrae.blogspot.com/ ) and bc she was born in October! This time 1yr ago...

One year ago today was when we said goodbye to our baby bentleigh. I was 11 weeks pregnant when we lost her. That day, December 7th 2009, was the worst day I have ever had to face. As the year has gone on it has gotten easier to face but I still miss her as I think I always will. I carried her for 11 wonderfull weeks. But, we had to say goodbye. We keep a picture of her ultrasound right where we can see it everyday. She is perfect and in the arms of our Savior now!!! Thank you Lord for taking care of our baby! Just 10 weeks after losing her we found out we were pregnant again. Having Tinsley here with us has made it so much easier to deal with. We are so thankful for Bentleigh's life because without it we wouldnt have sweet Tinsley. She is such a joy. Everytime I look at her I feel like my heart might explode with love! God is good. When we lost our baby, He was good. And, when we had Tinsley, God was good! ALL THE TIME HE IS GOOD!!!! We love you baby bentleigh!!!
