SUNDAY!
We had a great Sunday! Today was one of the rare days where Matthew didnt have to tear down right after church. The high school is having "switch" tonight, an awesome night of worship for students. So after we helped the childrens area tear down we headed to lunch at wendys with daddy and then he went back to church and we headed home! He wont be home till after 10 or 11 tonight so he has had a long day but he loves this time he gets to spend with the students and cranking up the music LOUD!!! After we rested and napped we headed outside for some fun on this lovely cool spring day! My kids, as most, love to be outside all. the. time. Its great and I love it too! Today we rode bikes, raked dirt, drew with chalk, played baseball, took pictures. The kids were in bed and all asleep by 8. Playing hard outside wears my kids out!

Life Right Now...
- We got to eat lunch with daddy today. It was habatchi and so yummy! Matthew had ordered steak. The man asked how he wanted it and Matthew said "medium"...without missing a beat jr said "yeah, and i want mine large" hahaha!!!
- We always get asked if the boys are twins and I always respond with "no, they are 15 months apart"..the other night at walmart i was paying and a manager came over and said to the boys "oh yall are soo cute, are yall twins?" jr said" no, we are 15months apart"....he hears it too much! last night i was telling my mom the story and jr told us " yeah, if we were twins then we would be stuck together (as he wraps his arms around colton) but we are not stuck together so that means we are 15mo apart" too funny!
- Jr knows John 3:16 by heart and it is so sweet to hear him say it and do the motions! I am so thankful for the teachers in his sunday school class. They are all wonderful! So thankful that Jr loves to read his bible and pray everyday for our family, friends, his toys, and any thing else he thinks of. I pray he always seeks God first in everything he does!
- Colton is just so sweet and cute! He is a mess in every sense of the word. I need to do a post on the many faces of Colton!
- Colton does not care one bit to be dirty. He would eat cereal out of the dirt if I let him. He has started being lazy with going to the bathroom. He pees his pants very often these days but wont even tell me. It doesnt bother him one bit. Thankfully he will only go #2 in the toilet! Its a phase and I know we will get back on track one day!
- Colton LOVES the song "Roarin like a lion" he sings the chorus part over and over and over again! It is an awesome song and we loves to crank it up loud and sing at the top of our lungs!
- Colton always tells us if we are cutting something "be careful or you might have bleed on you"...he is so protective of us. I guess he knows his mommy usually cuts herself while handling a knife.
- Tinsley has started saying a few more words but by far her favorite word is dog or "da" she cant take her eyes off a dog when she sees one!
- She has teeth coming in like crazy, almost a whole mouth full!Which is good because she loves to eat any and everything!
- She is the best sleeper. She goes down great and sleeps all night and in the morning I have no idea when she wakes up. I will go in there and she will be just sitting there playing with her baby or laying there with her blanket.
- Westin will be 5 months old on Sunday. I fed him one time and have yet to feed him again (baby food that is, he still nurses every 3hrs during the day and once or twice at night).
- He rolled over twice a few weeks ago but has yet to do it again. He just likes to lay there and look around or play in the exesaucer.
-Me and the kids have had a lot of one on four time as matthew has been working a lot and out of town. I am actually sooo very thankful for the time we have had. It is precious time that I am taking advantage of it. But, we are ready to be back to a normal routine next week and have daddy back!
- We found a new taco truck down the road. It parks in the gas station parking lot and it is soooo very yummy!!! Sounds sketchy to some but it is sooo good!!! El Don Taco truck!
- Our kitchen will hopefully be done by next week. The countertops are here at the house we just need to fix a cabinet and have Matthew home enough to do it!! Pictures of our makeover will be up when its done!
- In 7 days Matthew and I are going out of town for a few days with some awesome friends who invited us to go with them! YAY for some time away!
- In 15 days I am going to NYC with my mom and sisters for a couple days! Thank you Chrissi for having a buisness trip that we could tag along to!!

My Big Boy!!!
Westin will be 5 months old on Sunday! We are all soooooo in love with our baby boy! Tinsley cant stop kissing him and giving him his paci. Colton loves to hold him and talk to him in a sweet baby voice. Jr loves to hold him and feed him a bottle and "carry" him around. We decided to try and feed him a little bit this morning. He LOVED it and did really well eating it! He is going to be my eater just like his brother Colton!

Dislocated...
Jr dislocated his finger today. Matthews mom, dad and granny came up today so we could all work in the yard and surprise Matthew with a yard makeover while he was gone. We had stopped to take a lunch break and Jr ate soo fast and was ready to head back out to help granny. Next thing we know granny comes running through the front door with jr yelling for dale, matthews dad (who thankfully used to be a fireman and EMT!)...he pushed on it but didnt want to do anything to hurt it worse and thought it may be broken. so we jumed in the car and headed to the ER. Thankfully granny and yaya were able to stay with the 3 little ones so I could be with Jr.
Poor boy was in so much pain. Screaming, crying, yelling for daddy, but through it all he would stop and say " is granny still going to have work for me when i get back?" " i want to work with granny" " "when they fix on my finger can i work with granny moving the mulch?"....Jr truly is the hardest working 4yr old ever!!!
After xrays, a painful shot and popping back in, the numbing meds started to kick in and he was a silly silly boy! He will be sore for a few days and has to keep his "cast" on for about a week but we will get through it. I think he has actually enjoyed only using his left hand. He was so proud of himslef for coloring with his left hand and staying in the lines!
we are soo ready for daddy to be home tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! but i do have to say that i have the best father in law in all the world! I was sooo thankful to have him with us today through it all. thank you pops!

Going on's...
We have been busy this past month or so and I feel like we havent really slowed down a lot until this weekend. We had a garage sale this weekend. I decided monday to have one. I started cleaning out rooms and closets and decided it was time for a garage sale. We have never done one so we had a lot to get rid of. We did great and made more money then I thought we would. We just have so much stuff that is not needed. Lately, I have been really convicted and the Lord has shown me a lot. I have realized that I dont need a lot. All I truly need is HIM and HIM alone. I want that to be enough because truly that should be enough, more then enough. So we are living a much more simple life. We will not be putting our house on the market, like I had wanted to do this year. We will be staying put and staying close in our cozy home, with a lot less "stuff". I want to live simply and spend time making fun memories and not always getting bigger, better, more. We are changing some things around here but thats another post for another day as I could go on and on right now!
Here are some fun things we have done in the past few weeks...
We took the kids to the mall one night to play. There has been so much pollen that we stayed inside for a few days. we were ready for a change of senery.this is a fun free inside play area.
Colton LOVES catapillars. and love may be too soft of a word. he is obsessed! this is a cute video of him catching one.
My girl loves to dance! this is her dancing at church last sunday evening while the band was warming up for a student night of worship!
Off to make dinner now and get ready for a fun spring break here at home. Matthew is headed to texas in the morning to meet up with the high school students and will be back saturday. if you think about it, say a prayer for him, the other leaders and the students and the work being done in san isidro to share the love of Christ!!!
